Temptation Question

In my meditations tonight, I kind of relived the last couple of weeks. I had so many failures and only a few “successes”. I realized that a couple of those “successes” I really could not claim as a success because God immediately intervened. So I asked Him why He let the devil tempt me so greatly in some ways, but there are some specific things that it is like He (and I can almost hear Him) says to the demonizer – NO, you will not go there with her.

He laid on my heart these words: “That is why I have always told you that you do not know what is truly in another’s heart. EVERYONE is unique. I know EVERYONE intimately as I made them and love them. Every temptation, even if I know you will fail it, has a purpose. But there are some things that are my gift to YOU and I will not let you be tempted for more than a moment with them. I use those to keep you close to Me or to call you back to Me when you start to doubt yourself or the power of My Love. They are the binder to my Sacred Heart that has your name on it”
