Proclamation of the Kingdom

While meditating on the 3rd Luminous Mystery, the parable of the Prodigal Son came to mind. Jesus laid on my heart that although we are son’s of God, we must recognize that we are not worthy of such an honor. Although in Baptism we were made heirs to His Kingdom, through our sins we have squandered our inheritance. We no longer deserve to be called His child. We must return to Him daily and every time we sin with the understanding of our failure to appreciate the great gifts that we have been given and how severely we have hurt our Father when we abandon Him and His Only Begotten Son. In that realization we must return to Him expecting to be His servant. It is in this understanding and the knowledge that only through His Mercy and Forgiveness can we be welcomed back into His kingdom, that He will not only welcome us home, He will run to meet us on the way.
