For You!

As my Adoration Hour was coming to a close this morning, I saw visions of people praying for me.  I saw a few IRL friends/family and some folks who I did not recognize.  The Lord told me these are people I know, but have not met.  He gave me a few names. I saw 2 of my special Priests earnestly praying for me.  I felt a peace beyond understanding.  A sense of love overwhelmed me.

As I was driving home, He said to me – “You post memes and comments about prayer on Social Media all the time.  You speak of prayer often to others.  You say how important prayer is and that you recognize that prayer is the greatest gift you can offer someone.  But, you do not understand the totality of that gift.”

He then reminded me of a statement made by one of my Priests when I told him that I had forgotten to bring his gift to the celebration of his anniversary.  That dear Priest said, “The only gift I need is your prayers”.  The Lord reminded me that I wondered if he was sincere since I had heard others say that before, but their actions proved otherwise.  Jesus smiled and said “he was”.  I truly understood in that moment that prayer is the greatest expression of love that there could ever be.

My Lord explained that love is most sincere and true when it is because of love for Him that the person is praying for me.  He said that those who love Him, love me because of their love for Him.  No other love is pure.  No other love is heavenly.  No other love is blessed.  I should desire no other love except that which comes out of love for Him and is expressed in prayer.

I asked if I should reach out specifically to those who He showed me to thank them, but He said no.  “There are many more!  I show you these for a specific purpose as they have proven to be so dear to you in so many ways. Yes, let people know how grateful you are for their prayers, but know that there are many praying for You because of Me that you will never know.”

So if you are reading this, more than likely He has led you here because you have prayed for me or He is asking you to pray for me.  I offer you the utmost gratitude from the very depths of my heart and soul.  To express that gratitude I return to you the ultimate  gift of love and offer my prayers for you out of love for Him!
