Rosary Meditations for Our Priest Convocation – The Joyful Mysteries

These are the prayers that came to mind while meditating on the Rosary which I was offering for our Priests and their Convocation.  I have all 4 Mysteries and will share the other 3 tomorrow.

The Annunciation

Father, You sent Your angel to announce to the immaculate Mary that she was the chosen virgin spoken of in Scripture.  You entrusted Your only begotten Son to her tender care with her Fiat.   Send your angels to be with our Priests that they might always remember they too are chosen by You and that You have entrusted your adopted children into their capable hands.  Encourage them with the remembrance of their own fiat.

The Visitation

Mother, you did not hesitate to go to the aid of St. Elizabeth despite the overwhelming event of the Incarnation of Christ which you had just experienced.  Our Priests too do not hesitate to go to the aid of their people despite their overwhelming responsibilities.  Be with them as they meet.  Speak to them with your wisdom as you did to Elizabeth with your  Magnificat

The Nativity

With the birth of Jesus, all things were made new and peace fell over the land.  Your heavenly hosts sang:  Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to men of good will.  O Lord, bring our Priests your peace.  Let them begin anew and work together for Your Glory.

The Presentation in the Temple

Most Blessed Mother, you presented our Lord to the Father in the temple as was prescribed by the Law.  Present too our dear Priests and obtain for them the Graces and Blessings they need to accomplish their goal.  Holy Spirit, may they, like Simeon, hear and trust in the promises and truth that are revealed to each one of them by You.

Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple.

Most Holy Mother, you and St. Joseph were distraught when you could not find the Divine Son but you did not stop looking until you found Him. When you did, you secured Him in your loving arms. Many in our diocese are distraught or lost themselves, both laity and clergy.  Let them never forget Who they are seeking and never give up until He is securely in their hearts once again.  Obtain for our good shepherds the wisdom they need to help themselves and their flock find their way back to the Temple where You are lovingly and patiently waiting for the them.
