The 3rd Fall Contemplation – His Answer

For the last 8 days and counting, I was led to make the Stations of the Cross every day in the 3 O’clock hour. I made the statement to a friend at dinner that what amazed me most was that the Holy Spirit and our Blessed Mother led me to a different contemplation and prayer at each station each day. But, that is not entirely true. At the 9th Station, the prayer, contemplation, and answer were the same each day.   But, even with that, the explanation of the answer was different each day.

When I would arrive at this station, my prayer would immediately go to asking why – why, O Lord did you get up after Your 3rd fall? You had already been through so much, lost so much, suffered so much.  Your blood had been shed. The Father surely would have accepted Your sacrifice thus far or even at the start as satisfaction for His Justice. You could have died right then and there and nothing would have been lost.  You still would have been laid in the tomb.  You still would have risen to give us hope and life. Why did you have to continue on to Calvary? Why did You feel You had to continue with the humiliation of being stripped, mocked, nailed to the wood, suffer unimaginable pain, and die a criminal’s death?

His answer each day – LOVE!

I will not do justice to His responses, but I will do my best to document a few of them:

Love for the Father.  Our Father has been and will be so offended, angered, ignored, and hurt by so many of our sins and negligences.  I want to give Him everything.  I want to be glorified by Him through My total annihilation, through My total surrender, through My giving up of My total Self including My Spirit.

Love for the faithful.  The faithful will also be offended and hurt by so many others, their sins and negligences.  I want them to be able to unite their sufferings with Mine and know that I truly understand and am with them even unto death on a cross.

Love for the faithful.  The faithful will be tempted more than anyone else.  They will need My suffering to help them resist those temptations.  They will need My sacrifice to atone for when they fail.  They will need My final suffering to give them the strength to get up from their falls, trials.  They will need Me to pick up My Cross so they will have the strength and perseverance to carry their own even when they feel they cannot go on.

Love for the tepid of heart.  The Holy Spirit will use My final hours to inspire those whose faith is tepid.  He will use this to encourage their zeal and passion to be more attentive and alive in their faith by showing them how much their God was willing to do for them.  I had to complete My Passion in order to ignite their passion.

Love for those who do not accept Me as their God.  I offered my final hours to those who love the Father and are faithful to Him, but who are blinded to the Truth (the Truth of course, our Lord and Savior being the begotten Son and One with the Father and Holy Spirit ).

Love for those who do not know Me nor the Father.  I offered My sufferings and prayers on the cross for those who do not know of God or Our Love for them.
