I Smile – My Adoration Prayer

I smile when I see You, my Savior whole
Body, Blood, Divinity, and Soul
I smile though I am unworthy to be in Your Presence
I smile at the sight of Your Blessed Essence

I smile as I approach with awe and fear
I smile knowing Your angels are near
I smile as I go down on bended knee
I smile with desire to honor Thee

I smile as the Holy Spirit is my guide
I smile knowing there is nothing to hide
I smile as I pray to the Father above
I smile as the Divine Trinity shares His Love

I might be sad, I might despair
but I smile because I know You care
I pray for forgiveness, I pray for change
I know nothing I ask is out of Your range

When our time together is at its end
Once again, my knee I bend
I pray that you are pleased
with how I spent this time with thee

I want to stay and never depart
But You remind me to take heart
Others are there to Adore
And nothing pleases You more

And so I smile.
