Eucharistic Adoration: Attitude

Continuing the benefits of Adoration theme which started with https://blessedadorer.wordpress.com/2016/01/18/eucharistic-adoration-peace/

Our attitude can affect every aspect of our lives.  For years, I was of those people who said “I can’t change who I am”.   I still maintain this to be true to a large extent, but what I have learned is that you can BE changed.  The part you play in changing who you are is with your attitude.  If you are open to being changed, you can be.

What I have learned in my time in Adoration is that you must do some serious and HONEST reflection on your attitude.  In the quiet, the prayers, the reading material, the true Presence, I have found the perfect setting for that reflection.

You start by contemplating how you react to a situation and why.   Then let the Holy Spirit guide those thoughts.  You will be amazed that the next time you face that situation, you will not “react” as you always have before, but rather “respond” to your reflection.  Next thing you know, you have a new attitude toward the situation.    Over time, that attitude is now who you are instead of who you were.

Now that your attitude is changing, you now can tackle your interactions with others… the next topic.
