I have noticed that a link I had shared on Facebook several weeks ago is making the rounds again. https://www.facebook.com/catholiclink1/
I reread it and still totally agree with almost everything mentioned, but I wanted to expound on some and add some others. I am going to take this on in a series of posts.
Absolutely positively, the peace I have experienced participating in Adoration has been life changing.
The Holy Spirit led me to Perpetual Adoration at probably my lowest point in my life. There was absolutely positively NO peace in my life. I was not handling ANYTHING well. I was having money issues due to some unwise ways of trying to get away from my problems; work was total turmoil, health issues were at their peak and some family relations were strained.
Within 3 months of going to Adoration, there was such a difference in me, coworkers started asking me what was up. I was dealing with issues in a much more gentle and peaceful manner. Things that would have sent me through the roof in the past, I was now able to look at in a whole new light. With the peace that was starting to rise in me, I found new ways to “attack” the problem.
I hate traffic. I would actually plan my day and route based on how I could avoid traffic. I could very easily have been described as having road rage – not physically doing anything like ramming someone or pulling out a gun, but the hand gestures and verbal abuse (inside my car) was intense. I still hate traffic and avoid it when I can, but the hand gestures are gone and I have almost eliminated the name calling (moron still comes out sometimes).
This is just 2 very very basic examples of how peace is affecting me. You may not think either are that big of deal, but I chose them for that very reason. If you feel peace in the day to day situations, can you imagine the peace that resonates with the bigger situations.
With peace comes improvement in patience. The next topic.
